If you have any rubber fuel lines check them, and the fuel pump.

Maybe take the bowl cover (top) off of the carb before you remove it from the engine. Start it up and make sure it's running bad, then shut off the engine and remove the top of the carb to see if the fuel level is too high.
If it is, look to make sure the float isn't set too high, or for contamination on the fuel valve seat.

Any chance you have a poor ground connection between the breaker plate and main body of the distributor?
Or possibly the power valve ruptured or has the wrong gasket on it

Good news...it was the carb all along, had it professionally rebuilt and the Sunliner purrs like a kitten. Thanks to all the Ford Guys!
