Who is parading today?
Savannah St. Patrick's Day parade.
With this heat, I need a blessing that the cooling system maintains through 3 hours at 2 mph.

Re: Who is parading today?
I usually don't much parading, and I have to admit, at first glance I thought the title read partying, and in that case , my wife is Irish and loves her Guiness, I am not a stout or for that matter a beer guy, so I'll be having Jim Beam devils cut......

Re: Who is parading today?
Here in CT "they" decided to have two very large st patty's day parades here LAST weekend! One in hartford, the other in new haven BUT the TV stations will be running the video today. Have no idea why parades were last week-end except for March madness??

Re: Who is parading today?
Not exactly a parade, but it is usually a hit with the people. I will be driving the bride to the outdoor weding and the B&G to the reception today.

Re: Who is parading today?
The last time I was invited to join a parade, the pub that was sponsering it wanted
a fee of 30.00 bucks just to drive in the parade. It didn't make sense to me that the people who were providing the entertainment had to pay. That's not the way I roll, so I declined. The owner of the pub got the 30.00 bucks and the guys and gals who furnished the cars, gas and time didn't even get a brewsky. S**** that noise! And, that's what I told the pub. It would have been fine with me if the money was going to be used for a charity-----not the owner's pockets. Jack

Re: Who is parading today?
Parades with my grandkids is just about the most fun I have with my A. They have grown up going to the St. Patricks and 4th of July parades here in town. We will have 12-18 cars from our local club line up today.

Re: Who is parading today?
My wife is marching down Main st, (rt 71?) Belmar, NJ, on the Irish Riviera today. She's Scottish, not Irish, but the Irish pay well to anyone who can play the pipes as well as she can. And stay sober for the length of the parade route. Ah the St Paddy's day season!

Re: Who is parading today?
MAFC of Long Island NY had over forty cars participate in the Village of Saint James' St Patrick's Day Parade, followed by a complimentary lunch at the Fire House.
(I previously posted this on the "Lets See Your Green Cars" which I figured meant parade shots, particularly with the original poster showing his Brown Car. |

Re: Who is parading today?
I love taking part in Parades. It brings a lot of joy to a lot of people, especially to the young children. The look on their faces is priceless when you give them a blast of the horn. We take our cars for granted but to others it is a great novelty. Paying to enter a parade when the money is going into private pockets. NO WAY! But I have no hesitation if money raised goes to a worthwhile cause.
