wipers
put a new aftermarket harness in the 64 ranchero the wipers were working fine now when i turn the switch on and off they keep running unless i disconnect the power i have it wired as power to top lug of switch the rest is original harness as i said they worked fine. is there a set of contacts in the motor that trigger's park when shut down or is it in the switch HELP!

The park circuit feed to the wiper motor is live when the switch is turned off. It is possible that you have connected the harness to the incorrect switch terminal. Have you ever had the wipers working correctly with the new harness fitted? If you have your switch is fritzed. Let us know.

Sorry the image isn't clearer I found this on another forum. The power to switch should be connected to the orange/white terminal. If you connect it to any other terminal the wipers will not function correctly off the switch. Regards
