I believe that a car that sits too long is ruining. When weather permits I drive my old Fords on whatever errand it at hand, rotating them as mentioned earlier.

I have only driven my modern pickup 1300 miles since last August. Mileage on my wife's car is another story.

40cpe sounds like me, I have an 05 Tundra with I guess maybe 37,000 so far but her 06 RAV4 is another story altogether, 117,712 and counting. Twice the MPG than my truck, so I let it set except for dump runs etc.

Thanks, it's mostly a true statement. I try to drive all our "running" antique cars & trucks as much as possible, both around town and on road trips. The '63 Studebaker Avanti is really fun on the highway, as it can do more than just keep up with traffic. Problem is, gas millage is not the best... I guess that's the price you pay if you want to play...

I have two 53 Ford Victoria and 53 Mercury fordoor, I work on both all the time, so they get plenty of driving just to keeping running. My biggest problem is my wife wanting her side of the garage back.

We have a couple T's, a few A's, an AA, a '42 V8, a '42 Jeep, and a '43 HD. All are running pretty well at the moment. I try to rotate each through a drive as often as possible when the roads are clear. During the winter I start each one and let it come up to operating temp. The AA probably gets driven the least since its the hardest to get out of the garage. The Jeep probably gets driven the most.

I'm working on getting the first one on the road but I have a list of others that I'm always looking for. With just a two car garage I think a shop is the next project once the 51 F3 is done.

I treat them like model cars...I build them then let them sit in the garage and collect dust..

If I don't drive them I at least try to run them up to temp and move them to stir the grease.
