Anyone out there have any experience with the Awto Bahagi 12 volt starter on a Model A?

Sorry, never heard of it but I am not a Starter guru. How did you get that name?

Re: Awto Bahagi starter
I think he's referring to the 12v mini starters available on eBay

They look like Chinese knock-offs, and should work just fine.

Re: Awto Bahagi starter
I have no experience with that starter. I have used the original unmodified model A starter on 12 volts for many years with no problem, so have many, many others. The new barrell starter drive would be an improvement to the original starter because there are no bendix bolts that can drop off in the flywheel housing. Model A starters are very robust. I have seen model A starters run on 12 volts as wrecker winch motors. I've used model A starters on 12 volt to drive the model A in high gear like a golf cart when necessary in the case of a break down so as to get the car off the road .
