'40 convertible top snaps?
Guys, I need (4) four of these. Know where I might get them?

Re: '40 convertible top snaps?
I will look and see if I have those.
Yes, the ones I have look to be and inch and a 1/16 c to c on the holes. I bought a bunch of stuff at Hershey years ago as left over from a convertible restoration, also got round brass vents he said went in the seats somewhere. If these will work I can send them to you. Re: '40 convertible top snaps?
Can't tell if hole spacing is same as yours. mine, 1 1/16 c to c.
I have 8 of them so would have enough for my car. I edited previous msg, are brass vents legit? |

I won't be able to check my snaps until late tonight. The brass screens were "vents" for the back rests (front seat) and were installed at the bottom. They are not visible when the seat is in the "normal" position.

Re: '40 convertible top snaps?
I bought 4 snaps from Dennis Carpenter I think. They fit the 2nd set of holes but the not the 1st set of holes on the belt line behind the doors.I bought another pair but they don't fit either.

Re: '40 convertible top snaps?
Those are the "self releasing" snaps. I got mine from a local auto trim shop. They are sold by LeBaron-Bonney !-800-221-5408 . Unfortunately they don't aways release as the top is lowered, and should be pulled with the rest of the snaps. I found that out the hard way.
