Ford made a few prototype Model "A" 3-window coupes. At least one has survived and is privately owned on the West Coast.

Few yes, but they sure are sweet looking. The Fridgidare pickup trucks were too.

Dave the picture is distorted (-at least on my screen) but that body appears to be a regular 45B body, ...and not one of the Budd-built 3W bodies. Am I mistaken??

It almost looks like it came from a Tudor.

Very interesting, it appears one of them is a slant window?

As stated this pic was in the AACA magazine you have to get the magazine from somebody to get a good pic. I thought somebody might call the number for curiosity

The 3 W looks much better with suicide doors. The hinges are then in a much better place.

The slant windshield is a sign of subcontract manufacture. Ford didn't make the slant windshield bodies. It's either a Briggs prototype or it's a custom. Ford's first three window coupes were the 1928 Business and Sport Coupes in the model A era.

I have heard that the three window Coupe is still in the LA area. I've only seen it once, at the MAFCA National Meet at the Queen Mary back in the early 70's. It's most likely the same one as pictured in front of the Ford Parts Obsolete store.

There are some details that differentiate the Ford built slant windshield Fordor bodies from the other manufacturers.I think the easiest detail had something to do with the style of the D-nuts.Back about 20 or so years ago when I first got on here a couple of guys told me what to look for,and we determined I had a Ford built body on the one I had. But,on the slant windshield Fordors,no matter who made the body, the body parts were interchangeable.
