Re: Mystery Ford Hubcap
Well, after over 600 "hits", no one to date has identified this 14" Ford Hubcap.
I though that someone out there could correctly identify this Hubcap for me?? |

Re: Mystery Ford Hubcap
The 14" cap is the same as I had on a 1976 Ford Torino Wagon, the wide flat part was usually painted the body color of the car.

Re: Mystery Ford Hubcap
Hi Buz, Thanks for the tip, however, I have looked at the Hollanders Hubcap Reference Book, plus the Web Page of the Hubcap Dealer in Southern California. Maybe, I missed it as I was doing the research? As I live in Australia, cars like the Ford Torino were never imported. The Hubcaps that I do have in my collection were collected in the USA or purchased on eBay. I have quite an extensive collection of Ford Hubcaps. The attached photo show my Falcon, Fairlane/Torino Display Board. I have tried to arrange them in the correct order, but, there maybe a few gaps? From the looks of this Mystery 14" Ford Hubcap, I put it in the era that you mention, (mid-seventies) plus there is provision to paint the Body Colour in the outer part as you identified. However, as I said, to date, no-one has been able to positively identify it for me. Do you have any pictures of your car with these Hubcaps? If anyone finds this Hubcap illustrated in a Sales Brochure or Catalog, I would be very interested if you could attach photos of your find. The mystery continues?????
