Default Emergency brake cable shorting gizmo.

Can anyone tell me where I can get one of these gizmos? Cant find anyone who handles them. You know, a little adjustable clip thingy that you hang over the brake cable and tighten it up to remove slack. Thanks Barners.

Just ordered 2 Dorman 03006 adjusters from Summit racing $13.89 including shipping.
Not for my car but for a couple cables on my garden tractor.

Those Dorman adjusters are one of the oldest aftermarket products still in production. Maybe THE oldest.

Hi

Is this used to adjust slack and then remove? Or replace existing stock cable adjuster (under car) ?

Used when the original adjuster has reached it's limits.
Loosen original adjuster, install new adjuster on cable and adjust to take up slack. Then re-adjust original adjuster if required. ( the new adjuster stays in place)
Can recall using these back in the 50's.
