Default Rain, rain go away

Forecast for Hershey is not good. I wanted to go on Thur. and if the weather was bad go Fri. Looks like bad weather both days and the car show is not too promising either. This will be the first time I missed Hershey in over thirty years. Sob, sob.

Come and join us Bill. Get your rain gear together and come play in the rain for a couple days. Everyone else is here. It's a Hershey tradition

I was planning on driving my Model A there on Friday for the Driver Participation on Saturday. Friday forecast seems a little better and Saturday okay. The forecast can change by the hour, so I am hopeful.

Just drove from Hershey to Lancaster, PA. Heavy rain all the way. The vacuum windshield wiper on the '35 could barely keep up. Another fun day at Hershey. I will be back again tomorrow for more fun.

People still seemed to accept my money all day today in the rain... and were eager to sell so some good deals were out there!

I even sold a bit so tomorrow will be just as much fun!

Left Hershey early this afternoon. Wednesday was beautiful. This morning was fine. Then the rains moved in. Had gotten a few good buys, bought some necessary items and decided to go back to my niece's where we stayed Wednesday night. Saw the forecast for tomorrow and decided to head home. Heavy rain all the way to just west of 287. Oh well, it was a whole lot better than not going! (I think everyone got spoiled last year.)

PS: Where was Mac's???

Sitting here in the rain at hershey right now. Glad I got here Tuesday night. Wednesday was great, Thursday was tolerable but today is just downright nasty. Lots of folks were packed up and gone by Thursday evening. Others are leaving in droves today. Spent lots of money on Wednesday though!

Looked at the radar map on the weather channel and it was rain rain and more rain in the Harrisburg area. Weather girl said that Harrisburg set a new record of 4.5 " of rain on Thurs. Sorry to have missed it , but glad I didn't go. I have been to Hershey in the rain and all the goodys are covered in blue tarps. All the tents are crowded.

Hi John,
Stopped at your spot Wednesday and looked for you at Early V8 spot with Carpenter. No John to be found. Left for home this Am. Did well on Tuesday & Wednesday. Yesterday was bad. LOOKING FOREWARD TO NEXT YEAR.
BTW: Never rained in Connecticut

Glad I went Tuesday night for early start Wednesday and Thursday. I walked the entire swap meet in 1 3/4 marathon days .

Any one see this circus act? The owner was wearing pajamas and a beanie hat. Why people would want this kind of attention is beyond me.

Chuck & Bruce, sorry I missed you guys. I didn't make it there until about lunchtime Wednesday and left today, Friday, at 11:30 am. One of the wettest Hershey's that I can remember in recent times. Didn't buy or sell much, but had a great time meeting up with V-8 Club members and Fordbarners.

I drove in Wed around noon and weather was good. By Thursday noon it was bad, so drove back 5 hours to Ohio and glad I did, because I heard later Thursday afternoon was bad and Friday the same. Looking forward to next year. But even in spite of the rain, from what I could see, the attendance was down Tues, Wed & Thursday anyhow. Maybe the Internet is doing a number on the shows? Carlisle Fall was dead too as near as I could tell. I hope the judging goes OK Saturday. Fritz

Hi Everyone, I'm gonna head up at Oh-Dark-Thirty on Sat AM. Forecast I saw a few hours ago on noaa.gov has 22% rain during the daylight hours tomorrow so we shall see. A few years ago there were 1400 show cars, I hope to see many of them enter or leave the field tomorrow, it's so cool to see them running and driving. Last year I saw a Pinto station wagon leaving followed by a Duesenberg, awesome stuff!

We had two good days selling engine raffle tickets beside Dennis Carpenter, but by early pm on Thurs. it was a washout and we headed home first thing this morning. Had many great visits with potential engine winners.

Hey Cecil, Does that mean Regional Group 36 won't be showing the raffle engine on Saturday?
