I've used the Power Master starters.
Small, light & much easier to install

Find a local auto electric shop and go see them. You'll be way better off to use your own core and have them do their magic.

Look for a classic US car club somewhere near you and ask those owners which shops they use.

I looked at it on their site, pricey but will work, what's the warranty? I had the one in my Ford done locally for $65 and a 90-day warranty but it should last a long time since they went through it 100%.

Best bet is still an auto electric shop, a starter is a starter. They all work pretty much the same regardless of who made it. Outside of a rare instance where a case or nose cone is bad, they should be able to fix it even in the UK.

That's the same one that I bought out of the states. Very easy fit, though as I said on another post it is only supported by the two ears that you bolt it through. Worked alright though, I just didn't think it was terribly robust as the base plate is aluminium and I was worried about it breaking one of those mounting ears. I ended up putting the original back in. The mini starter did sound weird starting as well.
