Now that this question's been settled, why did Ford go from Model 18(first 8) in 32 to Model "40" in 33?

Hi Dave
Do you know the different dimensions between the 28/9 and the 30/31 as i have a set of bows that came with my 28 Tourer but im starting to think they are of a T model?
Any help would be appreciated.
