Default Albany Oregon indoor swap meet

So has any one been to this meet? It's in like two weeks. I think Pops and I are going to go. It's like an 8 hour drive but sound like a good meet and time spent with my dad is always worth it . So who else is going ?

It is a good meet, if you're about 90 minutes away, but I don't think I'd drive for 16 hours RT to see it, especially since you're getting close to encountering bad weather in the Siskiyou Pass. Portland Swap Meet, in April... now that's a different situation!

The Albany event is really no match for Portland Swap Meet, which takes all day just to make the rounds. This one is held in the Linn County Fairgounds, with half the buildings heated and virtually all of it covered. It is sponsored by the local Model A club but, like most meets nowadays, the "A" stuff is in the minority. I never miss it.

I always find better stuff at small local meets than I do big meets like Portland. The drive doesn't really bother me. The weather will determine.

I'm kicking around going. Lots of hot rod stuff that I don't care about. Bigger than I expected. Small ones are fun. Some cars for sale.
Tiny think about Grants Pass next Sept.

Albany Meet is good. Yes not as large as PDX, but a little more fun and they do have a lot of sellers there. I went for about 15 years that I lived in Monmouth. Some years a lot of A stuff, some years not so much. Just like any other meet. Pancake breakfast is great.

Pancakes? I didn't see any pancakes last year. It might have been the only thing there that I wanted to buy.

Is there a website for info on this meet? I am only about an hour away so I would like to go as well.

http://www.hemmings.com/events/detail?listing_id=37255

This was all I could find using my Google-fu

Went last year, picked up a bunch of good suff. It was worth the drive from Medford, I will try to make it again this year. Even if you don't find anything you can't live without, a swap meet is always a great way to spend a day.

I saw it advertised in the back of the last Restorer, that's what peaked my interest.

I say go for it and make the trip! I have gone the last few years and always enjoyed it and I'm about 6 hours away. It's not whether you buy lots - it's about the experience and will be a great trip with your dad.
