Will the dash come out the front? I have to rewire it and sure would be easier if it did. Thanks John

I dont know yet, I may do one wire at a time using rolls of wire. I know that on my 53 Victoria the gauges come out from the back. Hope since there is a cover on the front of gauges maybe gauges come out in the front. John

John:
Either way Please report back the difficulty factor.

I did the one wire at a time on a Mack truck after a small wire Fire. ( Thought it was small ) pulled one wire at a time / replaced Proud as a peacock when done ~~
Real neat job all brackets back in place / hear shrink tube installed.
Hopped up in cab to start / NOTHING /
Sat there for a moment trying to think where I went wrong.
put my head on my closed fist , rested it on the center of the steering wheel ( YUP RIGHT WHERE THE HORN BUTTON WAS ) SCARED THE G~B's out of me as the darn truck started !!!!!

I done my 53 a while back, take the gauge pod off, used the one wire at a time way for the gauges, changed it to 12 volt with a Fords under dash reducer ( NAPA has them, they were used on Ford trucks for years, because they used 6 volt gauges)

Several years ago I rewired my `37 Chevy Coupe one wire at a time. I put modern 12 volt gauges in it and LED taillights. It was winter and a very enjoyable time to do it in my son's heated garage. With parts from Radio Shack I installed an electric radiator fan that comes on automatically at 200° and lights an LED on the dash. I later let one of my friends drive it and he said "Look, everything works!"
