34 door latches?

I have this pair of door latches for my car, they fit the doors, (cleaner looking one is pass side, other one is drivers side). Can you spot the difference in them? I didn't until now getting ready to restore them, pass side is "swiss" manufacture and left has no name. Since (you did notice the arms that go up? ) both handles move in opposite directions to open door. One goes forward, the other goes back. What am I missing here? The left one should be correct (right side in picture) I believe, I'll keep looking for a match to one of them but could someone shed some light on this. Is one for a car I don't know about.
