Question Price not listed

Why do people list something for sale and not put a price on it? Do they want to keep it a secrete? Sooner or later they will have to tell what they will take unless they take what ever is offered. Another sour point is $XXX.XX OBO, They never take best offer. Looks like this is happening more and more, I am expecting next time I go to Wall-Mart they won't have a price listed on anything. I never answer a add without a price listed unless it is something I really want and then I make them tell the secrete about the price which is usually way too high. OK I feel better

One of the requirements for placing an ad here is you need to put a price on it. if you see an ad with no price report it. One of the big industrial supple companies we go to does not have prices on anything on the sales floor. I guess they are living in the day when you just bought with no regard to price.

I just looked at both the Model T and A ad's first page of each and I only saw one ad that did not have a price ether in the opening list or in the ad itself.

I always tell them, "It has no price, so it must be free, right?" So far no takers. Along with no price, some folks don't tell you where the thing is, and some don't bother to give the year or any other minor details that might determine whether you're interested. I figure these are the same folks who put up little penciled yard sale signs that can't be read from a passing car.

"What I've got is so hot some body is sure to bid higher than what I have in mind". As to Steve's un-readable sign: "I don't really want to sell. Just keeping wifey quiet". A price, description, e-mail address and at least a general location are a must. You can dope up your name address & phone # so that you can only be contacted by e-mail and scammers can't use the doped up info to find your address or phone #. Guess how I learned to do that? Then again, we're all just chimps that talk.

My attitude is if they don't state the price I don't bother contacting them - if they are serious sellers, they know what amount they want and should say so.

I think if you look at the rules for placing ad's, all must have the price in the ad.

No price ads should be reported. And they should be deleted by the moderators.

They should write OBOIL (or best offer I like).
