1936 Ford Roadster Ute Project (Australian)
City:
Chicago
State:
IL
Price:
7000
Price lowerd to $5,000!!!
1936 Ford Aussie Roadster Ute project. These are very rare. I bought this Ute from a gentleman in Portland who had imported it from Australia while he was doing a Church mission there in the 70's. It's sitting on a LHD frame, but I have collected some RHD stuff over the years (steering box, etc.) that we could work into the deal if you plan to build it as original. Rust has been fixed in the doors, (but they need wood or steel reinforcement). The cowl is in good shape, and it has a decent set of front fenders, hood tops and grill. No motor, trans or hood sides. I have the original rear sheet metal for patterns that you see mocked up in the pics, and also have all new steel rolled with the correct body lines for the bedsides, tailgate, etc. The rear bed on these are made of wood, with the steel bedsides folded at the top and actually nailed to the wood bed slats. What you see is what you get. I do not have a top, but am told that it is just a '36 roadster top frame. I also don't have a seat. No title. I have a ton of pictures/measurements from one of these that I found near Detroit to use as reference. Windshield posts are chrome and very nice, the windshield frame is new and unchromed. We just had our first baby, and I have too many projects. This one unfortunately has to go. Please PM me if you have any questions and I will email or call back. Thanks! Re: 1936 Ford Roadster Ute Project (Australian)
Hi Toddle, Just a quick message to say that the ute top is slightly different to a roadster. THE doors are shorter and the top is shorter. I only managed to source one recently for my future 35 roadster ute project. Can help with dimensions if required, Dan.
