Count your blessings that you DIDN'T get this one! If the frame is that bad, the rest can't be any better-just hidden better. So give us a run down on what you found!

If she won't take 4k I would say move on. Keep an eye on the classifieds here, the HAMB, the Early Ford V-8 Club website, maybe ebay, Hemmings, etc. For 8k, maybe a little more, you should be able to find something needing a lot less work and $$'s to make it into a driver. Good luck!

If you want a coupe don't buy a truck. I bought a 40 a few years ago much worse than your ?? truck, have been putting a fortune in it. But, I wanted a 40 P/U, don't care about resale, I am 61, by the time I get it done I may be dead, who knows. I will tell you parts get more expensive every year, and if your thought is to quickly restore it and flip it for a profit, most likely won't happen. My advise is buy what you want and be in it for the long haul, do the kind of job on it you will be proud of and don't worry about what it's worth because that can change weekly.

Sorry to hear that. No one says you need him to finish the project. There is plenty of help here on the barn. Finish one of the projects you have and you will appreciate it and know more about it than anyone. Just my 2¢
Good luck and don't give up!

You are hard to understand. But, after digging through your posts, I think you are asking for the experts here to give their opinion on the value of that truck. They have said anywhere from worthless to a few grand. Then you offer $4,000 and get turned down. The experts said you should count your lucky stars that the owner didn't accept your offer. On top of that you tell us you have no place to work on it (at least I think that's what you said?).

Then you go back and try to offer her more.

I hope she takes you up on your offer, whatever you finally raise it to. You deserve that truck.

alchemy, I think it's you that just doesn't understand how poeple get an itch that must be scratched. The truck isn't worth considering for most of us here, but for model A hotrod, he can't get it out of his mind. That's what makes it worth more to him than to us. Once he buys it, then he can have his reality check, but for now, he's the only man in the world who can determine a price that works for him.

Yup, that's what I said.

I hope he continues to update this thread with his purchase results.
