Aussie T member request for assistance
Hi
After trying most of today to adjust the coil box and its setting I am convinced I need to use a coil box tester to check things out. Would any Australian forum member have a T coil box tester that they would be prepared to lend for a week of so? I am more than happy with picking up all postage costs etc. Cheers John |

Usually the coils need setting and inspection, not the coil box. Some time the coil box does short out, but I do not know of a tester for the actual box?????

Sorry I meant the actual coil (which is in a timber box).

Re: Aussie T member request for assistance
That is a "buzz box". It won't and cannot be used to properly adjust a Model T coil for proper operation. All it can do is make a coil buzz.
You need a hand cranked coil tester like this: Quote:
