Default ALL STEEL framework Fordor body

Was the 1931 Slant windsheild Fordor the only Fordor with steel body framework, or were there others with steel in place of wood? Bob

Yes the S/W fordor was the only Model A fordor that had a steel infrastructure. All previous fordor's were carriage construction. The only wood in the S/W as with most common body styles was to attach the upholstery to and of course the body to frame blocks.

Brent: In picture #2 it looks like there is some wooden framework to install a dome light as on a 160 A standard fordor. Then in picture #3 there is frame work to install the dome light over the rear window as in the 160 B Town Sedan. Are these two different cars or did you do some trick photography? Thanks Bill
