Default The Cycletow - Streamlining Automotive Service in Exclusive Hollywood, California

A rider above with his Harley-Davidson after unhitching it from the Model "A" Ford in 1932 at a Ford and Lincoln dealer after dropping it off for service.

The rider below and his Cycletow on his way to pick up another car. See many more photos and learn all about this clever innovation on The Old Motor.

appears staged to me....the guy looks like a movie star LOL. And I'll bet he went to retrieve more Lincolns than Model "A"s. In fact I've seen pictures of a similar setup to pick up cars at owners' homes and bring them back for routine service but the bike was hooked to the back bumper of a Lincoln.

The Model A appears to be a 1931 Delux Fordor, Model 160-C. A very rare model a production car,

I'm confused: How did the setup actually work?

Doug, click on the oldmotor and see how they drove to get your car and hitched the cycle to the back bumper for return. Gary

Even in the '60's, while working at Chrysler-Plymouth, we were using an OLD Indian Servi-Cycle to pick up/deliver cars to "special" customers, back when cars had REAL bumpers to clamp onto! I can't believe I even cranked & rode that funny old BLUE MONSTER!---Bill W.
