where and HOW does this part fit. I know it goes undernieth by the hinge but how does it fit picture would be nice

Part number based on sequence suggests possibility of something to do with front and rear suspension spring assy's.
Find it truly amazing that you are not able to post a picture of the item.

Jerry, I agree with the others, a picture would be of great help. Also, the year and model you believe this part to be for. The number you allowed is not shown in any parts books I possess. Might you be misinterpreting it?
The number 5723 is (well, would be if it were in fact the number) part of the front spring or attaching the front spring.

Rear spring clamp bolt. The number I found in the 1937
parts book is BB-5723, for the rear spring.

Stands to reason, as a 5724 is "Ford-speak" for a spring clamp. DD

thanks for your help guys BUT little brother say's that is not the part he is looking at. He is dummer than I am when it comes to computers and he lives 2000 miles away so I guess you all can't help. Me I'm into model A's
