Default 48 F1 Steering Wheel Replacement Options???

Hey guys does anyone know how to go about putting a little smaller steering wheel on my truck? I know how to go about it but wondering what the size or spline would be for this truck so I can start looking on evil bay for a decent new or used one. I know why they had them so dang bug but even an inch or two smaller sure would be better. Thanks. Luke

Well the truck ones from later years are still going to be big. My 52 came with a 51 car wheel but also had the column mast from the car as well. I wasn't into the car wheel so I put a Vintique 40 style wheel and modified the hole to fit the F1 shaft. The repro wheel is a bit smaller than stock size. I used a 53-55 column mast to give me turn signals. Ford used the F1 spline and taper for many years. May even be able to find a 60s wheel that might work but don't quote me on it.
