Default Finally got home without getting lost

My old clunker ran pretty good on the tour. Those mosquito up there in New York are man eaters after dark. They tried to eat me alive.I had a good time in all. I got some goddies at the swap meet for the 50 Ford. I am glad to get home with my hounds. At least they were glad to see me when I got home. Now to get ready for Aurburn. I think I am going to get a new aluminum car trailer open if I can find a good use one. Mine a bit small for the 50 Ford.If you know of one let me know. Mother says no 32 and I am to old to get another darn junker. She always gives in snooner or later I hope.Better go now brain starting to smoke a bit.

Ken, of course you got home without getting lost, Barb is a good navigator! :^) She also writes the checks for all those nice old Fords you find and she is happy to pick up all the trophies you win. Now don't give up on owning that '32 3w, you might find one at the next show. Talk to Cecil Polan about aluminum trailers. He has a nice one that's well made. See you at Auburn.

I use my open trailer to haul the 39 to NY and my Dodge with the Cummins diesel got 17.6 miles per gallon and with the close trailer I get 12 to sometimes 14 if I am lucky and stay under 65. My open trailer is too short for the 50 Ford. I made it for a Model T years ago which is light in weight.I might drive it to Aurburn if the weather not to hot. My hearing getting worse and I can't hear in a crowd. My close trailer is 3500 pounds gross and the 50 really to heavy for it. It wears the inside of the tires out with the 50 in it. I need new tires on both my trailers so next week I will get prices for both trailers.I do enjoy the National meets and the fellows. I do enjoy a good time. Also my wife is my GPS when traveling I never look at a map she the best with the map. I just drive and she tell me where to go. Can't beat that. One lucky Redneck.
