Default Air friction carb.

Today at the new braunfels, tx swap meet I found a carburetor to appeared to fog a model a. It was weird looking and different than anything I have seen. It was lightweight with two sight glasses on either side of the bowl and a screen external filter. The car had " air-friction" a tamped on it. Does anyone know what this is or anything about it?

Any pictures?
Sounds like an antique experimental that probably not too many were sold. I have an odd one that is made of all brass, has a square throat and a valve that snaps closed if the engine backfires. After 10 years I did see one more like it at a swap meet. Mine is an aftermarket sold as an anti-backfire carb, or flameproof, or whatever they called it. I'll have to find it and take a picture. I posted about it years ago on Shelly's Fordbarn but got no information.

Hope you bought it, if it wasn't too much. Sometimes these oddities are just neat to have and seek information on.

I've got one too, it's kind of neat. Might do OK on a "T".
