Gas gauge "stick"
I am trying to find the Ford Barner that posted a note & picture of his Gas Gauge Stick. He sent me an email with the picture & when I tried to copy it the email went to Email Heaven. I cannot find it anywhere.
If you are the one that sent this please resend it to me @ [email protected] Thanks very much Charles |

Re: Gas gauge "stick"
Charles,
Try the search engine for this forum. I found several "Barners" who addressed this issue. Bud |

Re: Gas gauge "stick"
I would be interested in that myself! If the person can post a picture, that would be great! Thanks, Jim

Re: Gas gauge "stick"
Not sure what year tank your looking at but here is a thread for 30-31. The 28-29 only have 10 gal and that 30-31 have 11 gal tanks.

Re: Gas gauge "stick"
I think you may be inquiring about my reply (Post #20 to the "Can I make my gas gauge more accurate?" thread) in which I gave measurements for an 11-gallon, i.e., 1930-1931 Model A, gas tank 'stick'. When I get back to my main computer, I'll resend the email I sent you with the photos and text.

My gas gauge sticks too ! But that's on my V10 Ford pickup. At least it looks full all the time.

Re: Gas gauge "stick"
I made my own stick by starting with an empty tank and poured in 5 gallons of gas. Marked the stick, and poured in another 5 gallons, etc. I now have a handy stick to check how much gasoline I have in the tank.
