Default removing the complete windshield

I want to replace the rubber weather gasket around the windshield, to do this i need to remove the entire windshield so that i can remove all traces of the old rubber and replace and bond the new rubber in place.
O guess I have to unscrew the top interior section under the view shades to get at the hinge? Any suggestions?

I don't believe the rubber seal in your '33 windshield is bonded in place. The channel where the rubber fits into must be completely cleaned out of what's left of the old seal. I had to use dental picks and cutters to get all the old rubber out of my windshield frames. I've had the best luck with installation and fit when using Bob Drakes rubber seals.

I just replaced the rubber around my '36 coupe windshield. I did remove the windshield--not difficult. The old seal came out in one piece and the new one (continuous loop from Macs) should be worked into a groove. Take your time and work it so that it stretches slightly but not too much and continually check to see that you will have enough and not too much when you get all the way around. No need for sealant/adhesive. The cowl seal will need sealant/adhesive if replacing.
