1929 Ford Model A Tudor

Car history:
  • 1929: Car assembled on 27 March 1929
    • VIN number is A1271058 stamped on the frame and engine
    • Body assembly date stamped on gas tank
    • Original instruction manual is included
  • 1949: My grandfather purchased car from a neighbor in north-central Nebraska
  • 2009: Transported to Ohio for complete restoration
  • 2014: Transported by enclosed auto transport to Colorado when I retired
Restoration highlights:
  • Complete restoration down to the bare frame
  • 2,637 miles on odometer since restoration
  • Engine restored with high compression head by Dwayne Roach of Mtg Gilead, Ohio
  • Body restored and painted by Steve Hockenberry, Shelby, Ohio
  • Differential restored with high-speed (3.54 to 1) ring gear and pinion gears
  • All window glass was replaced with modern safety glass
  • 6 Volt starter and generator restored by Tom Wesenberg who installed an electronic voltage regulator so the brushes do not need to be adjusted
  • Optima/ sealed battery
  • LeBaron-Bonney interior installed by Dave Cockran, Unlimited Upholstery, Mansfield, Ohio
  • Safety: front seat belts, master electrical shut off switch, engine temperature gauge, LED head light bulbs, LED turn signal and rear brake lights

Color:
Exterior:
· Andalusite blue: upper and lower body
· Reveal color is Niagrara Blue, light
· Stripe is French Gray



Interior:
· Plain panel seats trimmed in blue hairline cloth
· Plain blue cloth for the door panels, quarter panels, header, seat sides and back
· Headlining is blue napped cotton
· Blue cloth for the window curtain
· Molding gray paint: garish moldings


Imperfections:
· Few paint chips and scratches from driving
· Differential drain plug weeps a few drops of fluid
