'32 BB cab mounting bolts
Howdy boys, I just put the cab on the '32 BB I've been working on for WAY too long, but I have forgotten where the bolts with the coil springs go? Yup, I took lots of pictures but not of this of course. Any help would be appreciated! Pictures of course, would be nice! Thanks guys!

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
Bolts with coil springs are used to mount the gas tank in cab.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
They are too long for the tank. There was only one bolt on the tank with a coil spring, 3/8" if I remember correctly. The ones I have, that I believe came off of the cab, since they were in the can marked "cab bolts" are 7/16", have a washer, coil spring, and castle nut. The bolts are about 3.5-4" long.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
Cool 33, so how do they mount? They are 7/16 bolts, but the holes are 3/8. Pictures would tell the story. Thanks.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
No, just one in the center hole on one side and two 3/8"-24 hex head bolts without springs on the opposite side.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
I looked at my original 33 BB and they go thru from inside the cab and the spring, washer and nut go underneath in the frame. Mine look to be 3/8 where the nut goes on but can't see the whole length. If it were mine and they go thru the frame holes ok, I would just enlarge the holes in the cab floor.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
Hey David G, this truck, which is an AAB does have the coil springs on the rear cab bolts. They are 7/16", about 3.5" long. Sugarmaker sent me some pictures of his, which is also an AAB. Thanks.

Re: '32 BB cab mounting bolts
Folks,
I took these pictures of the cab mounts on our AAB 32 truck. in the rear there is the spring and nut on the bottom of the frame as Cool 33 describes. But on the front of the cab there is no spring Regards, Chris and Cheryl
