New Guy
Hi, I'm new here, but have been on The Hamb and Garage Journal for a long time.
Since I'm currently working on an old Ford (53 Ranchwagon) I figure I should start hanging out with some blue oval guys. I'll need lots of advice and parts to get through this one! We are making a woodie out of it, and it's coming along Last edited by Challie; 11-26-2015 at 01:18 PM. |

Re: New Guy
welcome to Ford Barn Charlie. Here is a picture of the factory 1953 Ford Country Squire. This was the last year that Ford used actual Wood on the sides. From 1954, these Mouldings were Fiberglass. That is a very attractive Wagon that you are creating, pity that Ford didn't think about offering a 2 door Country Squire. best of luck with your project. Mercman <>< |

Re: New Guy
Welcome. The best set of wheels my parents had was a country squire wagon, they all seemed to be blue. There had to be a half dozen throughout the neighborhoods.
The opposing fold up/down rear seats in the back were the best. Scott |

Re: New Guy
I like your project too. I am also building a one off woodie, but haven't posted in a couple weeks because family/holiday stuff is keeping it low key. That's a great start you have there. Keep it up, it's a really cool car!.

Re: New Guy
I fell in love with this one when I found it in a scrapyard about to be crushed. In hindsight I probably should have left it there. It was so rusted it would have only taken a couple more rainstorms to disappear completely. It just kinda had a "Buck Rogers" look to it with that huge rounded roof. Over 100 patch panels later its looking much better.
