32 Ford
Found the following link on the Model A section for an auction. While a majority of the cars and parts are Model A buried in the photos is a 32 with supposedly a 32 V8 plus a 32 engine. I am sure folks on this site can tell for sure. If I lived closer I would go to this auction, you never know what other things will go for. Most likely attract A guys who are not interested in the flathead stuff.

For sure there's photos of a '32 Tudor with a pretty original looking engine and bolt-ons (to my untrained eye). Photos of what they're calling a 32 engine on a stand. Also a Mullins trailer. This is about a 1 hour drive for JM 35 Sedan!

Re: 32 Ford
That almost looks like the vertical petcock in the pic, and maybe a rib on a cast pan. Front of block looks pretty flat. DD

Re: 32 Ford
It is always hard to tell the details from photos (like whether these are 32 or 33 blocks), but a few things to note:
1) Car Engine: Definitely not a 32 intake, carb, generator or fuel pump - probably a 34 setup. The driver's exhaust manifold is not a 32 - so the oil pan may also be a later one (given the oil dip stick location). 2) Spare Engine: Definitely not a 32 distributor, looks like a late 32-33 fuel pump and the wire looms look to be later. The oil-pan is not the cast aluminum one, so it is probably a 33-34 stamped steel pan. Last edited by Bored&Stroked; 01-04-2016 at 06:43 PM. |

Re: 32 Ford
Yeah, that pan on the engine on the stand is a Late 32 or 33 stamped steel pan. If I saw the other side I could tell what year. The 33 dipstick points back a few degrees, the 32 is 90 degrees from the pan rail. I think that block is a 32. The one in the car could be 32 to 36 block.
