Default Canadian Suppliers

Just curious as I was shopping around for new rad hoses for my 39 Deluxe. There are plenty available south of the border but with our weak Cdn dollar right now it can really push the price up. Wondering if there are Canadian suppliers of these parts. I'm thinking these 60+ year old hoses are going to leak one of these days at an inconvenient time.

I believe that there is a shop in Saskatoon (or somewhere in Sask) that deals in old car parts/ hot rod stuff called Jitney Speed Shop or something close to it. The key word is Jitney.

Good Luck.

I think George has retired, but hope the business is still going. George was the absolute best old car guy I ever dealt with, honest as the day is long and knowledgeable too. I'm thinking that his kid(s) are still running it. Bruce

The Moir business is sold but still going strong. Excellent young guys have taken over. George shares a stall at the May Red Deer swap meet every year with myself and my brother. Great guy with a lot of good stories and still very active in the old Ford hobby. . Keith Lee at Jitney is also excellent to deal with and very knowledgeable. Old Car Center is great as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions and recommendations. So far the easiest shopping, online, has been Bob Drake Reproductions where they have a good accessible catalog with prices listed.
Best online catalog with prices I have found is Bob Drake but top hoses are out of stock.

http://stores.ebay.ca/C-W-MOSS-AUTO-...563(California) has the best looking deal yet on ebay.
I'll keep looking

If your not worried about being too authentic, go to a good industrial supplier. I bought some goodyear rubber hoses that have a green strip on them. Same thickness as the originals. Very durable. I've had them on my truck for 20 years now and they still look perfect inside. If you don't like the green strip, turn it downward.
I would be worried about some of that "offshore" junk rubber that some vendors might be selling.
