The green F1 and the black coupe both have lap belts. None in the red F1 yet.

I have both lap belts and shoulder belts in my 36 Ford 5W Coupe. I too feel "naked" without them.

Fasten the seat belt to the floor of the car and not the frame.

Gary where did you get yours? And where is the anchor point for the shoulder anchor point?
Thanks, Doug

Well, I go against the tide mostly myself, so I'm not bashful to say I don't have belts in my Ford, and I'll tell you why:

Back when I was a kid, invulnerable to harm from anything, let alone a silly old fender bender, I rubbernecked at a girl walking down the street instead of watching the cross traffic. Well, some other fool doing much the same as I was ran a stop sign and I plowed into him at 40 mph. Today I live with a couple of small but permanent disabilities because of that accident that could have been lesser injuries had I been wearing a belt, which, by the way, was only just then being installed on new cars.

Today I drive my modern cars and trucks wearing a belt, but I get in character in the old Ford partly by not having a belt and feeling that nakedness that some of you describe. I know the danger, and I drive defensively, again, partly by that feeling of danger that not having a belt promotes within me.

I have no doubt that an accident at my age and with today's traffic would rack me up a lot worse than that accident I had so many years ago, and I think that thought helps keep me safer than a belt would should I forget the danger for just that moment it takes to oogle a pretty girl.

I have 3 point belts in my 51' Merc, and I insist that my passengers wear them.
Why?, because if I happen to be in a head on collision I don't want any damage to be done to my dashboard by any flying bodies.

None in mine but although the wife wouldn't say I,m sure she would feel more secure with one for her ,if an accident and she was hurt without one it would be hard to forgive myself so I think maybe one for the passenger ,I ride classic bikes and no helmet would be great (its law to wear a helmet over here ).....until I hit something or fell off ....Jim.

Lap belts in the roadster and 3W, none in the 47 Coupe.

Does'nt bother me in the 47 but in the roadster, no belt would mean a trip thru the air in a bingle, my backside would be airborne, and I don't think my back would take to well to that

All the votes are in: It is crazy to be on the road without belts. They save injuries and lives. Driving defensively has limits because you cannot pre-determine the actions of all the idiots on the road.
