"Right up your alley"
Tom Wesenberg's quote re lower throttle and timing levers.
Tom, pse confirm this is true for the RHD cars as well. Regards Chris Cape Town |

Re: "Right up your alley"
I haven't worked with any RHD cars, but I'd assume they would also have the spark lever full UP for top dead center.
It would be confusing to have the lever opposite just because the steering wheel is on the other side. |

Re: "Right up your alley"
I don't see why it would it change. If you were to simply move the left hand controls to the right side of the engine and ook it up, when you pull down on the lever it would still move the point plate lever towards the left side of the car (advancing the timing)

Re: "Right up your alley"
The controls operate the same as they would on a LHD car. Spark on the left, gas on the right. Retarded position for the spark is all the way up.

But you are missing the point. Tom said "right up your alley" I understood he was talking of the lower control levers. Not the hockey sticks going from the steering, but the little levers at the bottom of the hockey sticks. Mine on the RHD the little ball ends are both facing up. I understood "right up your alley to mean, the right ball up and the left ball down. Regards Chris Cape Town |
