Interesting video
This video is very interesting as it follows the journey of a brand new '28 Tudor form the factory to it's 500 mile checkup at the dealer. Lots of cutaway shots in the factory and then several detailed closeups of the car itself. Very interesting!

Re: Interesting video
Neat video.....Did you notice when the dealer was showing him how to start the car, when he told him to step on the starter button, it showed him pushing on the accelerator?
Just wondering if you caught that. Like I said, Neat video. |

Re: Interesting video
I'm sorry I watched it again and I must have blinked, because I didn't see it the first time, but he did put his toe on the starter button.

Re: Interesting video
The dealer didn't charge Mr. Burt a "documentation" fee. Wonder how they made any money?

Re: Interesting video
What a great era film. Liked it when the Dealer & serviceman climb in the car on passengers side. This must be habit when getting in kerbside on the street as was required by law then & reason why the locking handle was always passenger side.
Did anyone spot the spelling mistake [ I know Im on shaky ground here] with mention of the fuel 'guage' [ gauge or gage!], just like on FB. How often do you see a new toolkit being checked over. |

Re: Interesting video
When the dealer arrives back at his dealership it looks like he just kicked open the pass door to get out.

Re: Interesting video
Interesting Ford sales pitch (in those days) but it was great to see how they did things back in those days.

While I realize this is a really old thread, does anyone know if these vids have been reposted elsewhere?

Re: Interesting video
I managed to get the first 6 segments of the film downloaded, but my day job got in the way of getting the other 9 parts.
I'm sure this film is still out there in cyberspace, but I may have to get my IT guy to find them for me. I sure as hell can't. Critical Past or some other footage broker likely has the originals. |

Thank you 'LD'. Do you by chance even know what the movie was? I am assuming it was a Ford issued sales training film?? . |
