Not too helpful, but here's a thread about '32 colors. Still looking for one of '36's.

Remember that judging a color from a photo, these days, is pretty sketchy business. I know a lot of folks that won't use a photo right out of the camera without a little balancing. Also the camera and the settings on it make a huge difference. So what you see isn't always what it is.

2-3 years to decide about paint!? The 35-36 ford book has all the color swatches in it. I am leaning towards the Bambolino Blue for my 35

Don....It took me about a year to decide what color(s) to paint my 36.It is important to use a color that YOU like. It's your car.As of yesterday there was two 36's on e-bay that I believe are Desert Sand. They look nice! I might get beat up a little here but I painted mine like the model A two tone scheme with contrasting stripes and wheels.Mechanically, I tried to keep it all stock except for colors and interior. Best of luck

It too was a long process to get the colors my wife and I like with a two tone paint scheme. I also thought of desert sand and cordoba tan. Desert sand was too light and cordoba tan had too much gray. We ultimately chose a tan and a butterscotch/burnt orange scheme that we liked. We now very much enjoy our choice of colors. Its your car and you can paint it what YOU like.

I think Desert sand, Gunmetal, or Vineyard Green would look nice and a little bit different.

I took the codes from this site for 1936-38 Washington blue to my Dupont guy and he was able to come up with a formula for single stage enamel. I am going to have him mix a quart up next week.

Not so odd. Classic black is good. Hard to do right.

Would you post that formula here. A lot of interest in that color. Not urethane
but enamel? Thanks.

Torchie,
Good news re: Dupont. I originally painted the F-1 w/ Sikkens single stage (great paint). Went to order more of it a month ago and was told that single stage is no longer available. I'll look into Dupont.
