Default need source for a hinge mount side mirror

I have a nice set on my 37 for but need a set for my 35 Chrysler. The Chrysler hinges are 2 5/8" which is taller than the Ford hinges. I have seen some that just mount on the top and don't have a bottom arm for the hinge pin. That would be ok, I have seen VW's with that set up.

Where can I find the hinges? thanks

I have had VW hinge pin mirrors on my '36 since the mid '60's.. From my prospective, the VW mirrors look better than the Ford, the Ford mirrors look like they belong on a truck, not a car.

The most difficult job when mounting hinge mirrors is getting the hinge pin out. Most are rusted in place as if they were welded. The C clamp remover tool seldom works as advertised. Drilling can result in body and paint damage. We use an air chisel with a pointed tool to get them loosened.

Had a hard time finding the pix in my photo album of the VW hinge pin mirror on my '36.
The first time I saw VW mirror on a '30's model Ford was in about 1963, they were on a '36 roadster.. I waited for the owner to come back to the car so I could ask him what kind of mirrors they were.
I beat feet right to the local VW dealer and bought a pair, including the installation package. Surprisingly the VW hinge pin was just slightly larger that the Ford pin so I only had to ream the hole a little bit to get it to fit..

I was able to loosen the first hinge so I think I can get them out ok. The Chrysler pin has splines but no threads. If I use the VW hinge, won't I also need a matching full length pin? The VW hinge look like the screw into a pin.

What year VW if I go to the dealer? I too like them better than Fords. I need a new rt mirror for my 36 Fordoor, would replace both if I can get the VW style.
