Default 37 trunk lid arm (spring)

Can't find this spring anywhere! Does anyone know if there is a reproduction made or has one I could purchase? I have a Club Cabriolet but assume all 37's used the same trunk lid spring.

Ford definitely did not have a better idea for a trunk support in 1937. They used at least two types that I know of but only one with the spring a clockwork type spring. The worst part is the 1937 Ford trunk lids in 1937 were getting a little bigger and heavier but engineers decided a single support or spring should be able to support it .Took a year or two later that they finally figure two was better than the one. My coupe was a very low mileage car and the support was bent and broken in two pieces but spring was okay and I was able to fashion new arms for it. Mayby you could use the clockwork springs from later arms,39-40 or even up to 1946-1948 by buying a good used one or a Drake repro. Mayby a supplier like www.restorationspecialties.com has just the spring. In ten years of Ebay watching I have only seen one or two original 1937 spring type trunk lid holders show up,usually the non spring ones do.

with a very little modification, the trunk lid holder off of a 37 olds sedan works very well, it is spring loaded both directions
