All good advice above! Except DO change the syncro rings. As mentioned buy your replacement parts from Mac or Charlie they can make sure the parts are correct and will work properly, but they are only human. Macs book will help with all the clearance necessary. You probably put more mile on your car per year than nearly anyone else. This is great since you enjoy your car so much. 18K/Yr. is nearly two to three times the mileage these cars got when new! Look over your parts very carefully and inspect closely, if something looks fishy, don't use it unless you have assurance it will work properly and get your assurance NOT from the seller.
