Default What Crab distributor do I have here?

From having collected spare parts here & there from old junker motors, i am in the process of cleaning up and getting rid of some items.
So, can you help to identify what year this distributor is?

At the top is a "3"--at the bottom is 35513. Near the bottom bolt hole is stamped "LOMAC"

The main shaft appears to be tight.

What might be a fair value of this item?

Thank you, Fred

The distributor pictured fits '42-'48.
It's worth what someone will pay.

As assembled it is a 1942 or perhaps wartime distributor, though it could be any '42-8 with 1942 clips. The S logo I think indicates that it was originally made by Standard ignition...there were several suppliers. The long cast number does not relate to Ford and is presumably from some internal number system relating to the supplier. Any stamped stuff probably indicates a rebuilder.

All posts are correct. Clips indicate 42 but can be used with a bail change can be used on 46-48. ken ct.

Looks pretty good. I'd give it 6 out of 10 stars for used and you'll get $40-60 for it on Ebay if you drop it in when there is a lull on decent crabs. If you have a the timing cover, it will probably go for $60 right now on ebay.

Ten bucks seems to be the common price around here in varying condition. I do go to a bunch of swaps. Any more than ten and I won't even slow down. Already have to stop buying them for fear of hoarding. Still is my preferred dist.. Ebay only tells me what premium guys will pay for convenience. Good Luck: Fred A
