Re: New project- low buck but lots of elbow grease 1946 coupe
Painted my wheels and polished the trim rings and caps last night. I know these are 42 caps, I got them at a swap meet, they were very nice so I picked them up

Re: New project- low buck but lots of elbow grease 1946 coupe
Got a small batch of chrome back yesterday, so now I can mount my license plate. With the trunk lid shaved I thought it would be clever to use the front license plate gaurds/mount on the rear. Took a little modifying but worked well. Had the ash tray lids done was well and also got the radio in

And after the fender being painted a week I wet sanded it and buffed it. Turned out really nice...especially beings I don't know what I'm doing. Whole car needs cleaned again now

Love it Chris, absolutely love it.
Its a world away from the 14" flat black, debumpered nonsense. I wouldn't be able to resist 16" red steels personally, other than that it looks pretty much like my always wanted 46-48 sedan coupe. Dang I really want one. Martin. Yes I'm jealous. |

Re: New project- low buck but lots of elbow grease 1946 coupe
Busted out my hole saw and put the factory 46 park lights in last night. Sawing into the fenders was a little scary

I always liked the 42 and 46 for the parking lights and the chrome trim Ford used. That Coupe is looking very nice, hope you really enjoy it. LouB.
