39 Coupe emergency brake cable
What is the route of the emergency brake cable from the handle throught the floor to the chasis. There is a tab on it that looks like it would bolt to something. Thanks.

Re: 39 Coupe emergency brake cable
It goes out of the engine compartment directly next to the steering column tube. From there it wraps under the cowl and heads back along the left side of the transmission. That 'tab' you speak of is attached at the transmission. From there it goes to through the frame center section and connects to the clevis / cable. I realized I have 'simplified' the routing but this description should help. I can send you a photo if you send me you email address.

Re: 39 Coupe emergency brake cable
Which side of the chatter rod? Which side of the column? Which bolt on the transmission? Thankyou once again.

Left side of the column.
I can send a photo of the transmission mount for the bracket if you allow your email address. Mike |

Thank you so much. A picture tells a 1000 words. Mine is close, now I can do it right.
