Default Linkage

Amateur Here. Restoring my 40 pickup. Anyone have a good picture/drawing/description of where the gas pedal linkage connects to the carb? I know this may sound elementary but I am only a couple years into the car world and I started with a truck in pieces.

Can anyone explain how the linkage on the dash (choke and throttle???) and how it hooks up to the carb???

Again I am a newbie. Explain it to a child. HA HA Thanks
