Default Window Weather Seal

Was there ever any sort of weather seal gasket for the outside bottom of Fordor windows? There are gaskets on the rear window and everywhere else but no apparent way to mount a weather seal outside as there is on the inside

When I wash my car I am always careful around the windows to keep water from running down inside the doors. I can't understand how these cars lasted without rusting out if water pooled in the doors every time it got wet.

What am I missing and can I get these days?

My fordor has a rubber wiper akin to a windshield wiper blade held in a metal strip attached to the wood at the bottom of the window opening. I have also seen window glass setting channel with a lip that acts as a seal when the window is rolled up. I bought the metal/rubber ones from Sacramento vintage, but other suppliers may have what you need.
