Default 54 Mercury parking brake question

Can anyone advise if its possible to lubricate the parking brake cables toward the rear of the car?? I have the right rear moving, but I'm a bit worried it will freeze up.

A 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone is the best rust dissolver I know. You might try removing the cables and housings and let them soak awhile, then clean them completely.
