Default drivers side door latch

Has anyone put a bear claw door latch on a 56 ford car, if so how do they work and how hard are they to install.

I wanted to do it when I was restoring my 55. They just weren't practical for me due to drama with the door lock mechanism. Not that difficult to fit but you would probably need to lock the doors using a remote operated solenoid, similar to a door popper. Something I didn't want to do. I wish I had now.
I may eventually fit a set as I am a bit concerned about the safety aspect of the 55 door locks. There is as much modification needed to fit 56 locks so the bear claw latches are a better option. You can buy complete mounting kits with latches.
