I have some friends that said they were going to replace their Rod & Custom with Motor Trend. And some said they were told they would exchange the rest of their suncription to Street Rodder. I ask them to do that for me and they said they couldn't do that so I told them to just send me back my money and she said OK. Monday I got an Issure of Hot Rod I thumbed through it and did not see one page that was worth looking at. I stopped buying or looking at Hot Rod over 40 years ago. Guess I will have to call them again. And I do not want Motor Trend either, have never like it. This is the third time Rod and Custom has done this well they won't catch me again.

It is a shame that magazines are on the way out just like news papers. Like I always say no country for old men. Anyway I spend the time on the HAMB or the Barn. Only problem you can't take them into the bathroom.

Some of the cars are pretty good, but ya have to wade through all the tattooed women, most of which wouldn't look too bad without them and the nose/lip/ear/etc rings and such.

They should be substituting Hot Rod Deluxe, a lot of their vintage stuff is right down our alley. R&C has been falling on it's butt for a long time. RIP again.

They sent me motor trend, I haven't liked that magazine for over 20 years. I agree we should have got Hot Rod Deluxe it is sure better than hot rod or motor trend. glad my sub. is only good until APR. 2015. fat chance of getting a refund

I think they should have sent us each a card where we could choose one of the other titles or check a box that says "send a refund".

New crop of mags seem more like "lifestyle" magazines than "car" magazines.

My next 2-1/2 years is Motor Trend!! YUCK. Would prefer to extend Street Rodder. Didn't get a choice. Recycle the paper.

They told me I was getting Motor Trend, emailed customer service and stated that since Motor Trend covered a totally different subject matter it was unacceptable substitute. I asked that my subscription to Street Rodder be extended instead. They said they would.

The other day I received Street Rodder with an extended expiration date and the day after that there was a Motor Trend in my mailbox, with an expiration date that matched my previous R&C expiration date.

Interesting to see what comes next month.

Donate them to your doctor's waiting room. It's bound to be better than most of the typical drivel seen there.

I got Motor Trend as a replacement.
I callled the subcsription people.
The number in in the front of the magazine.
They changed it to Hot Rod Deluxe with no problem.
Maybe I called on a good day.
I hope i dont expire before the subscription does.

You guys are lucky receiving Hot Rod as a substitute. They stuck me with Motor Trend until the year 2020.
