Re: Cross country
I don't know myself but be sure to stop in and say hello when you get here! Also, thanks again for sending me the complementary fan, I'm still running it until I get up the nerve to remove the hood, tilt the radiator foreword and install the 2-blade aluminum that everyone keeps telling me I need to have. Cheers!

Re: Cross country
I have driven Hwy 50 from here to Kansas, it is a pretty good Model A road. The challenge going in the middle of the country is the continental divide, it is a pretty good climb and decent. The road takes you through some very pretty country. It is called the loneliest road for a reason, there are not a lot of services along parts of it.

Re: Cross country
Now when you get to Kansas, you might want to start swinging south and take some less traveled highways and even paved county roads across Kansas and Missouri. 50 highway picks up a lot of truck traffic and goes through Kansas City. Crossing the Mississippi River is really fun if you do it on a ferry. Illinois and Indiana have a lot of nice less traveled highways in the southern parts. We went to French Lick that way.
If you get close to Wichita, give me a call. |
