Default Ford service and Dealer books

Good afternoon,
Doing some spring cleaning today and i stumbled upon a box of the old orange Ford Service and Dealer Books. I have a friend that would like to buy them but i'm not sure what is a fair price for him and for me. I know that condition is everything and i'll be frank these are in fair to good condition. Some are poor and some are really nice, but overall i'd say fair to good. I have not seen these at swap meets. I did a quick search on ebay and didn't see any listed on that site. Any information would be appreciated.

The orange Ford Dealer and Service Field books are out there and I believe some of them were even available as reproductions before Covid. A google search will provide some results. The ones I saw were in the $20-30 range.

Murray Fahnestock likely wrote a lot of that stuff since he was involved as an owner and a dealer.

Murray was the technical editor and the contributing editor in chief for a little over 40 years with the Ford trade books beginning in 1914 and on to 1955. The name changed depending on the times. It started as "The Ford Owner" and then "The Ford Owner and Dealer". Then it changed to"The Ford Dealer and Owner" and finally "The Ford Dealer and Service Field". There were others that contributed but Murray stayed with the hobby of the early Fords to well after he retired. His wealth of information still helps the owners of all the early Fords since it has been republished several times plus he authored other books on the hobby.

Murray was the Grandfather of the Model T Speedster.

If he's a good friend, I'd give them to him. If he insists on paying you, have him take you out to breakfast where you and he can talk about cars but NO politics!
