Default Model A Speedster Weight?

What is your estimated weight at each wheel of a Model A Ford Speedster equipped with light weight Model T Ford fenders? What is your estimated total weight of the Speedster? Thanks.

OK I'll bite. My SWAG (simple wild-ass guess) would be a total weight of approx 1375 lbs. Front wheel around 465 lbs each and rears around 225 apiece.

Of coures, as they say....your mileage may vary.

I would venture a bit higher, at say 1600 IBS. If the body is aluminum and the engine lightened, then maybe lighter....

Miss E weighs in at 1235 lbs. total. But 'member she has no fenders and only half a hood. As to the weight at each wheel - no clue - but and interesting ????. Gonna have to get out the scale and check that one out. Good project for today.

Wow Ken, that is pretty impressive! Pretty sure I remembered MobilGas Sp'l weighed 1240 on several race track scales with a shortened (90") frame, 23 lb flywheel, no hood, no starter or generator, one seat and just the bare basics to go racing.

I've thought about this for weighing my car hauling trailer. If you use a platform scale and it's platform is 4 1/2" off the ground, then you'll need to block all the other wheels the same height off the ground to keep each wheel measurment accurate.

My friend runs a scrap metal yard, so someday I'll just run the trailer across the scale. Of course the hitch will need to be undone and my car driven off the scale, so all the weight is on the scale.

This one weighed 1500 when first built, of course not a speedster in the opinion of some some.
